Hoag Orthopedic Institute to Host "Competing on Value: A View from the Front Lines" on Friday, October 26

Hoag Orthopedics Research, Education, and Community Outreach Program to partner with sponsors Hoag Hospital and Providence St. Joseph Health for educational healthcare event
IRVINE, Calif. – Hoag Orthopedic Institute (HOI), one of the largest providers of orthopedic care in the nation, has partnered with Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian and Providence St. Joseph Health, to host “Competing on Value: A View from the Front Lines” on Friday, October 26 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Allan & Sandy Fainbarg Community Education Center at Hoag Orthopedic Institute in Irvine.
The day-long event will feature internationally recognized guest speakers, panel discussions and networking sessions. Organized by Hoag Orthopedics, a non-profit founded by Hoag Orthopedic Institute physicians for research, education and community outreach, “Competing on Value: A View from the Front Lines,” will translate the organizational, measurement, and reimbursement theories of value-based health care into real life experiences. Physicians, faculty and students will be able to gain experiential knowledge, develop a vision and deliver higher value care.
“Hoag Orthopedic Institute has been on the forefront of a variety of nationally-recognized value-based initiatives, in many cases pioneering them within our four walls,” said Jennifer Mitzner, chief executive officer of Hoag Orthopedic Institute. “We welcome the opportunity to host and provide a platform for such a distinguished group of thought leaders and partners who have played an equally prominent role in driving real value in practical ways.”
The Course Co-Chairs are James T. Caillouette, MD and Amy Compton-Phillips, MD. Dr. Caillouette is the Chief Strategy Officer at Hoag Orthopedic Institute and Dr. Compton-Phillips is the Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer at Providence St. Joseph Health.
