Hoag Orthopedics Hosts Research Day 2024

In June 2024, Hoag Orthopedics, the research, education and outreach not-for-profit organization affiliated with Hoag Orthopedic Institute, held its 9th annual Fellowship Research Day. The annual event recognizes the accomplishments of the graduating fellows and highlights academic achievements of the fellowship training programs at HOI.

This year’s Distinguished Visiting Professor Thomas Schmalzried, MD delivered a talk on developing a low-cost line of research and mentored each fellow as they prepare to enter into practice.

Academic highlights for Hoag Orthopedics during the 2023-2024 academic year included:

• 17 publications accepted in academic journals
• 16 submitted publications are pending approval
• 21 abstracts presented to orthopedic meetings
